Mysterious Mixed-Media Plants Grow Like Creatures from a Dr. Seuss Book

In her, continuing sculptural series headlined “The Marriage,” Malaysian artist Noreen Loh Hui Miun mixes elements from real and fictional plant life to create completely new kinds. The delicate works begin with dried plant parts like branches and moss to which she attaches cut layer petals evocative of reptile scales and other picturesque components. Though not deliberate, the complete works look something like the wild imaginings of children’s book author Dr. Seuss. You can see more pieces by Miun on Facebook.
