A New 3D-Printed Leg For Amputee Goose, Ozzie

Ozzie the goose is a lucky duck, but he didn't start off that way. Fortunately, inspiring South African animal lover Sue Burger took care of him and watched over the feathery fellow as he healed. Three companies – 3D Printing Systems, digital design firm BunnyCorp, and the Centre for Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing at Central University of Technology in South Africa – joined forces to develop the goose’s new limb, reports CNET. As Burger stated, the bird is still getting used to the prosthetic, but is already capable of standing and walking with it.
