Stunning Portraits of Albinos by Gustavo Lacerda

Brazilian Photographer Gustavo Lacerda‘s series “Albinos” blends biology, aesthetics and folklore in the striking collection of light-saturated photos.

Albinism is characterised by a deficit in the production in melanin and by the partial or complete absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes.

On his project about albinism, he worked for three years, finding characters with the help of friends, via social networks and on the street. According to the photographer, he wanted to give these people a chance to feel their importance.
