These Vivid Murals Appear On Roads Only When It Rains

Rainy days are excellent for curling up inside with a book at home. But how do you fight the sadness when you have to go outside? By covering the streets with murals that only shows up when rainy! This idea by a group of South Korean designers and Pantone brought to life in Seoul. Now, when the rain season starts, the streets come breathing with vivid aquatic animals.

“Inspired by South Korea’s culture of emphasizing the importance of the flow of rivers, the paintings utilize Korea’s topographical features that create flow and puddle of rainwater in every street to fill the streets with color and life,” writes the project website.

The picturesque streets do a lot to make the three-week long monsoon season better!
