Artist Cuts Forests into Vehicles and Street Signs

Artist Dan Rawlings merges trees cut into a classic silo: subject matter that would seem to be to its medium or ferns that sprout from street signage that is rusty. A collision of urban and rural.

One of his most ambitious pieces, titled Nature Delivers, depicts the shell of a forest cut to the walls of an old delivery truck that was commissioned by Kendal Calling and Walk the Plank for the Lost Eden festival. Earlier this year somebody set a fire. You can see more of Rawling’s work on Instagram and in his online gallery.
