This Narrow House In Japan Has More Space Inside Than It Looks

This triangular house in Japan looks like an unlivable architectural experiment from the outside, but it’s actually quite roomy on the inside.

Created by Mizuishi Architects Atelier, the 594-square-foot house has made the most of the spot where the river meets the road. It looks extremely narrow and small from the outside, but it incorporates several techniques to design space on the inside. The triangular house has two floors, with the bedroom on the first floor, the kitchen and living room on the second, plus a small family playroom on a mezzanine level available by ladder. All the walls are painted white as well, making the place look roomier and light.
