Alexandra Kehayoglou

Alexandra Kehayoglou, a visual artist who works primarily with textiles and her studio in Buenos Aires. There she has the opportunity to create pieces which combine sculpture, installation art, and textile materials. Her primary interests lie in production processes that bring together craftsmanship of fabrics along side other mediums like painting or drawing as complete work of arts where knowledge about techniques is just as important for spectators’ engagement with it. The weave of Kehayoglou’s pieces is a laborious process, requiring much physical effort and precise technique. Her tapestries are like sublime realities which the viewer can contemplate or utilize in their own way. Each one being unique with its texture and weaving pattern as if to preserve memories that will live on for generations after she has gone about her workday.
