Bamboo

Bamboo is a tribe of flowering perennial evergreen plants that have hollow stems and scattered vascular bundles. This makes the plant lightweight, flexible, and strong to withstand harsh weather conditions such as storms or earthquakes with violent shaking. Bamboos are also characterized by their tall height like trees but do not grow taller than 40-50 feet because they lack woody xylem in the stem’s cross-section which would make them heavier than other grasses; this results in less support for the weight from high winds or heavy rains without adequate grounding.
