The meaning of the word “house” is very broad. It can refer to anything from a hut in an African village or something as a complex and large system that we call home. A house often consists of many rooms with different purposes, such as bedrooms and living spaces for family members. Rooms are used for eating meals together; relaxing on weekend evenings after work; watching TV (or movies!) at night before bedtime- all sorts of activities! The social unit inside this type of dwelling is called a household– it’s where people live their lives day by day under one roof.
