Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist, subtitled The Parish Boy’s Progress, is the second novel by English author Charles Dickens. It tells a story about an orphan Oliver who endures life in a workhouse and then meets with Mr Brownlow who takes him to his home under favorable conditions but later on he is caught for stealing food from one of London‘s markets. Upon trying to escape this time around he falls into company of Artful Dodger – leader of gang that engages in juvenile pickpocketing activities which are unknown to our protagonist at first until they bring him back their elderly criminal trainer Fagin where it becomes clear what these boys were up too all along!
