Before delving into his true passion of photography, Ralph Hargarten first explored the fields of Economics and Computer Programming. His journey into the world of photography began with an internship under a skilled still-life photographer, where he learned the fundamentals of camera techniques and lighting. With a newfound desire to capture people and their emotions, Ralph embarked on the next phase of his career.
Spending three years honing his skills as an assistant photographer in Düsseldorf and Miami, Ralph ultimately decided to establish his own photography business in Düsseldorf. After four years of success, he relocated to Hamburg, a city he had always adored and one of Germany’s premier locations for photography. To this day, Ralph continues to call Hamburg home.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ralph Hargarten has worked with a diverse array of clients from around the globe. His photography assignments have taken him to international capitals such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, and Milan, as well as various other locations in Germany, the United States, Australia, China, Brazil, England, France, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Bali, and, of course, the country closest to his heart, South Africa. No matter where he travels, even while on vacation, Ralph’s camera remains his steadfast companion.
