London Architecture Takes New Shape in Striking B&W Photos

Using black and white pictures to draw out the power of London's architecture, self-educated photographer Nicolas Lescot gives a distinctive glimpse to the capital city. His varied pictures challenge London architecture to be perceived by viewers in a manner that is new.

“This time I liked to play with lines, shapes, architecture styles as well as their contrast,” the photographer shares with us via email. I didn't desire the colors' power to restrict the comprehension of my goal. Also, I found this album graphical and more strong in black and white.”

As one more challenge, the whole series was shot using just one lens. Constantly trying to boost his work, he's continuing the project with some photos located in Brussels. It is his hope that the photographs spark an engagement together with people, as their interpretation is put by each viewer on the picture.
