Hirotoshi Itoh’s Grinning Stones

by Faya Sanders 2012-05-19, 4:24 PMupdated 2017-01-18, 5:02 PM

Hirotoshi Itoh graduated from Tokyo National University of Arts in 1982 and later founded his family business as a mason. He uses stones found on the banks of the river near his home and creates sculptures, that combine the original shape and hardness of the material with an amazing sense of humor and structure.
