The clothing company, Valentino SpA was founded in 1959 by designer and entrepreneur Valentino Garavani. It is a part of the fashion group that he had co-founded with his partner Giancarlo Giammetti who served as CEO until 2008 when they sold their share to Marzotto Group which also owns other brands like Diesel. Since October 2008, Maria Grazia Chiuri has been serving at the creative director position along with Pier Paolo Piccioli while Alessandra Facchinetti held on to her post from 2007-2008 before quitting over disagreements on how she wanted changes made without considering what workers were used for reference would be completely tweaked according to new ideas not everyone might have embraced entirely. The head office operates out of Milan, Italy. Valentino SpA has boutiques in different regions of the world including Europe, the Middle East, North America, South America, Australia, and Asia.
