Miniature Illustrations Of Wild Animals Blended With Landscapes

Usually, it’s the double exposure artists that try to merge animals and their surroundings. Not so with Sam Larson! He uses paints and inks to make his drawings. That’s how we get to see buffaloes with the field inside them. You can say that an animal encapsulates its environment in itself; after all, it the product of its surroundings!

Sam Larson is freelance designer and illustrator from Portland and the owner of Steel Bison store.

“I’m not much of a quote person or pinpointing one thing when it comes to design,” Larson commented on his motivations in an online interview. “I just create because I love it. You have to love it. You have to be passionate and actually care about it. If you are dedicated, good things will happen, and hard work will pay off. It’s pretty simple really.”
