Stretched Porcelain Sculptures by Johnson Tsang

by Archie Hayes 2016-10-12, 3:05 PMupdated 2017-04-03, 10:22 PM

Stretching the parts of porcelain clay to the maximum, artist Johnson Tsang distorts the faces of his unknown figures into rubber. The comical works morph facial characteristics and body parts, at times filling the characters of multiple persons into a single being. These new pieces from his “Lucid Dreams” series were newly on view at the Hong Kong Sculpture Biennial as part of Art Asia 2016.
