Hegren’s Innovatively Repairable Knekt Floor Lamp Melds Minimal Design with Local Craftsmanship

Sustainable Design and Local Craftsmanship

Norwegian brand Hegren presents the Knekt floor lamp, a triumph in sustainable and repairable design. The lamp is crafted for modern living spaces, accommodating both work and relaxation with its adjustable, directional light. Designed by Henrik Grevstad, the Knekt exemplifies the brand’s dedication to local production and honest design.

Precision and Practicality

This lighting solution is constructed with an emphasis on longevity. It features interchangeable standard components, ensuring repairability when needed. The minimalist design is evident in its aluminum structure, with the lampshade formed from a single laser-cut sheet. This pure form reflects Hegren’s commitment to creating user-friendly lighting products.

Knekt Floor Lamp: Functional and Aesthetic Appeal

Henrik Grevstad explains, “I design within clear constraints, allowing materials and function to drive the process.” The open construction of this piece is intentionally visible, lending it a distinctive and honest character while maintaining a lightweight aesthetic.

Hegren’s minimal design lamp offers practical features, including an E27 socket for easy bulb replacement, an integrated off-switch for convenience, and a design that ships flat-packed for no-tool assembly.
