The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (colloquially Stedelijk) (English: Municipal Museum Amsterdam) is a museum for modern art, contemporary art, and design in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It is located at the Museum Square in the borough Amsterdam South, close to the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and the Concertgebouw. The museum was founded in 1874. The current building was designed by Adriaan Willem Weissman and opened its doors in 1895.
