This talented photographer has once again snatched the quiet beauty of Finland with the main focus around trees. Virgin snow, celestial skies, and what seems like secluded pockets of nature serve as backdrops to gnarled trunks and branches. All images were taken by Mikko Lagerstedt to address the resilience and elegance of Lapland through Southern Finland. Inspiration for a mentioned above artist started when he witnessed an authentic landscape while on the road to his relative’s hut. His images, for the most part, present mother nature with little to no sunlight, giving them a sense of serenity and tranquility. Trees series taken between 2018 and 2019 and edited using editing programs such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Artist’s crucial goal was to bring the appreciation to eternal grace of trees to the recipient. He pointed out that nowadays, we forget to recognize them as an essential part of our lives. They tend to tell us stories and present the real struggle of bitter reality.
