Razer calls the razer raiju v3 pro Signature Edition its most ambitious PS5 controller to date. The licensed gamepad launches November 10, priced at $349.99 in the US and €368.99 in Europe. Razer will sell only 1,337 units, and each one carries its own serial number.
The Raiju line dates to 2016. Razer says a decade of revisions produced this razer raiju v3 pro, which it describes as the most advanced PlayStation controller it has made.
Razer’s Raiju is one of several gaming devices aimed at enthusiasts, and dual-screen handhelds take a very different approach to play. Retroid Pocket Duo’s dual-screen gaming reinvention with retro charm offers a useful contrast.
A frame built from magnesium alloy
The exoskeleton is the feature most people will notice first. Razer forged it from magnesium alloy, a metal chosen for its strength relative to its weight. The material also bends easily into the tight curves of the grip, according to the company’s product copy.
Rather than a closed shell, the top and back plates use an open polygonal pattern with chamfered edges. Razer says a nano coating protects the internal parts from debris while leaving them visible. Notebookcheck noted that the back openings appear to be covered with glass, while the top stays uncovered.
Weight is where the reports differ. Razer and Engadget both put the controller at 260 grams, and Engadget described it as lighter than a standard DualSense. Notebookcheck reported that the Signature Edition weighs two grams more than the standard Raiju V3 Pro, despite the cutouts.
Materials and finish
The grips are matte black, micro-textured TPU. Razer says the surface resists oil and abrasion, which should keep the handles looking clean through long sessions.
A semi-transparent, tinted glass touchpad sits at the centre of the controller. The Razer logo is laser-etched into the glass, so the geometry underneath remains visible. The face buttons, directional pad and secondary inputs use double-shot PBT plastic. The markings are tone-on-tone, and Razer says they resist fading and oil buildup.

Controls and performance
The thumbsticks are symmetrically placed and use contactless TMR (tunneling magnetoresistance) sensors. Razer says these sensors support precise aiming while reducing the wear found in contact-based designs.
The controller also adds six remappable multifunction buttons, two claw-grip bumpers and four mouse-click-style back buttons. Players can assign frequently used actions without moving their thumbs off the sticks.
Notebookcheck argued that the Signature Edition offers little beyond the original razer raiju v3 pro, which it said has the same thumbsticks, dual-stop triggers and 2,000 Hz polling rate. Razer presents the new model as a step forward in tournament-grade responsiveness, so buyers will need to weigh the two claims.

Connectivity for the razer raiju v3 pro
The controller is officially licensed for PlayStation 5 and optimized for PC. Through Razer HyperPolling Wireless, the razer raiju v3 pro reaches polling rates of up to 2,000 Hz, meaning it exchanges data with the PC 2,000 times per second. Button assignments, thumbstick sensitivity and trigger response can be adjusted in Razer Synapse or the Razer mobile app. Onboard profiles travel with the controller between setups.
What comes in the box
Razer packages the controller as a limited edition controller aimed at collectors. Each unit includes:
- A leatherette carrying case, which Razer says can also serve as a display case
- Alternative thumbstick caps: a short convex cap for quick movements and a tall concave cap for extra leverage when aiming
- Four interchangeable back button covers
- An anodized aluminium tool for replacing the back buttons
- A Razer HyperSpeed Wireless dongle
- A USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable
Price and availability
Razer lists the razer raiju v3 pro at $349.99 in the US and €368.99 in Europe. Notebookcheck had not seen pricing when it published and noted that the original Raiju V3 Pro launched at $220. At the time of that report, the original was available from Amazon for as little as $198.
If the price feels steep for a controller, compare it with other luxury collector pieces. Sony’s $5,898 gold-plated audiophile Walkman masterpiece shows how far premium tech pricing can stretch.
Sales begin November 10. Razer’s English release says the controller will be sold through its online store and select retail locations. The Japanese release says it will be sold only on Razer.com, so buyers should check the listing before ordering.

Charlie Bolton, Razer’s global head of design, framed the project as a test of the company’s limits. “With the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, we set out to illustrate what happens when Razer’s engineering and design capabilities are pushed to their absolute limits,” Bolton said.

The razer raiju v3 pro Signature Edition is a premium object as much as a performance tool. Its magnesium frame, exposed internals and serialized run will appeal to collectors. Whether the price is justified for competitive players depends on whether they value the materials and accessories as much as the controls.
