Photographer Rob MacInnis groups farmyard animals that were chosen for production and turns them into amazing portraits.
Everything began when Rob returned from a long trip through South America. Taking pictures in places that experienced extreme poverty made him rethink photography’s role in his life:
“I had a tough time dealing with my relationship to photography after this trip,” Rob wrote at Bored Panda. “I felt it’s negligent to ignore the exploitative aspects of photography, particularly when making artwork in such a privileged position. I found that photographing animals enabled me to critique both myself and the photographic field.”
MacInnis told that working with animals wasn’t very unusual from working with people.
“You’re trespassing their space so need to set some boundaries and increase trust,” he said. “At times this is easy and other times impossible.”
