Archie Hayes 
Daniella Zalcman is a documentary photographer based between London and New York. She’s a multiple grantee of this Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, a fellow with the International Women’s Media Foundation, and a member of Boreal Collective.
Her work will be to concentrate on the legacies of western colonization, from the rise of homophobia in East Africa into the forced assimilation education of indigenous children in North America. She won the 2016 FotoEvidence Book Award, the Magnum Foundation’s Inge Morath Award, and also the Magenta Foundation’s Bright Spark Award for her project Signs of Your Identity.
Daniella’s work regularly appears in The Wall Street Journal, Mashable, National Geographic, and CNN, among others. Her photographs have been exhibited internationally, and select jobs are represented by Anastasia Photo Gallery, LUMAS, and Subject Matter. She frequently lectures at high schools, universities, museums, and seminars, and is available for homework and speaking engagements internationally. She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in architecture in 2009.
