An Architectural Collaboration in Hudson Valley
Sylvan Rock is Aston Martin’s striking foray into luxury real estate, nestled on a 55-acre expanse in Hudson Valley, New York. Crafted in collaboration with S3 Architecture, this modern residence is an embodiment of bespoke design and nature, situated less than two hours from Manhattan. The first of its kind in Aston Martin’s ‘Automotive Galleries and Lairs’ collection, this project follows their N°001 Minami Aoyama residence in Tokyo, completed in 2025.

A Home Shaped by Its Environment
The house features a snaking metal roofline that flows seamlessly between vertical and diagonal cladding. This innovative design crafts a covered car port by the main entrance. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Catskill Mountains, the estate listens to its environment. “When designing, we always let the land speak first,” says Christopher Dierig of S3 Architecture, highlighting the sympathetic approach.

The external façade, with its blackened cedar cladding and expansive windows, welcomes the surrounding forest into the home’s ambiance.

Luxe and Function: Inside Sylvan Rock
Spanning 7,773 sq ft, the main house features expansive indoor and outdoor living areas. This includes a 50-foot swimming pool and outdoor kitchen. Bespoke furnishings, developed in collaboration with Aston Martin, adorn the striking interiors. Upstairs are four bedrooms, five full baths, and two half baths, alongside a gym and spa.

The property boasts a subterranean automotive gallery, a private cinema, and comprehensive office facilities. External features include a spring-fed pond, a kitchen garden, and an extensive network of biking trails.

Sylvan Rock Hudson Valley: Design Vision and Market Significance
Cathal Loughnane, who led the project, notes, “The design intent was for the home to be experienced like an Aston Martin car, where no single façade dominates. This luxury home effortlessly blends elegance with privacy, in line with Aston Martin’s ethos.”
