Osaka House Free Space: A Space for All Activities

The ‘free space’ was originally meant for judo practice but evolved into a multifunctional area suitable for basketball, golf, bouldering, and more. This versatile area features a retractable golf net, basketball hoop, court markings, and a bouldering wall. The space allows for rapid transformation with the rearrangement of tatami mats, making it ready for different activities in just 15 minutes.

Integrating Home and Environment

This adaptable space seamlessly connects the interior with surrounding living spaces such as a shared kitchen and dining area. A second-floor living room and rooftop terrace provide sweeping views of the flexible area. Gardens and outdoor areas enhance the house’s extension beyond its boundaries, maintaining privacy while integrating with the community. The design beautifully incorporates elements of Japanese home architecture.

The design, completed in 2025, provides a transformative domestic layout that epitomizes residential design. Catering to future change and family interaction, it remains a hallmark of flexible modern living with its innovative multipurpose space concept.
