Artist Creates Miniature Sculptures Created From Balsa Wood

Dutch artist Vera van Wolferen creates tiny wood sculptures, architectural objects that are either included into animations or left motionless to tell their own stories. Her motionless works are often displayed underneath glass bell jars, giving the audience space to imagine that the miniature tree houses and campers are easily contained within their private universes. Van Wolferen also utilizes plain craft materials like cloth to enhance her sets, giving it seem as if her sculpted homes are relaxing among the clouds.
