Dizzying Room Illusions by Peter Kogler

With dizzying wall graphics evocative of warped funhouse mirrors, designer Peter Kogler converts extraordinary galleries, transit facilities, and lobbies into near hallucinatory experiences. For over 30 years, the Austrian designer has labored at the intersection of structure and new media to build each mesmeric environments and sculptural parts that appear to redefine physical areas. By gluing walls with he challenges a viewer’s sense of depth with his difficult monochromatic of repeating patterns that contain pipes, ants, and daring snake-like patterns.

Kogler’s most recent had been on view at the ING Art Center in and at ERES-Stiftung in earlier this year. You can see a lot more on his website.
