Skillfully Hand-Stitched Artworks That Look Like Pencil Drawings

If you had a pleasure to see Lauren Spark’s hand-stitched interpretation of Van Gogh‘s Starry Night and the intricately sewn artworks of Chloe Giordano, then artist Lisa Smirnova should impress.

Her hand-embroidered artworks – which could easily be confused for colored pencil drawings – are in fact crafted using wool, cotton, and other such materials – and can take months to finish. Interestingly, Smirnova doesn’t just attach to cotton canvases; she also likes to stitch unusual patterns and shapes onto clothes and home accessories, adding interest to jumpers, cardigans, and pillows.

Check out more of her wonderful work on Behance or Facebook.
