Sean Vranizan Makes Magic With A Scanner

by Faya Sanders 2012-01-19, 11:27 PMupdated 2017-12-16, 6:42 PM

Sean Vranizan, a graduate of UC Santa Cruz, uses an unlikely device to create his rich digital collages — an everyday scanner. Laying found objects, Vranizan scans rather than photographs he assembled materials. While not a pioneer, Vranizan’s certainly damn good at what he does. His prints achieve great depth and detail, each individual item gaining a distinct voice in the composition.
