With a commercial style spanning fashion, portraiture and lifestyle documentary, André Pinces’ cinematic vision comes from a continually developing approach to photography as well a keen sense of the human state.
After studying printmaking at the University of Alberta, Pinces cut his teeth in New York City’s fashion scene, recruited to work with Warhol photographer and Man Ray disciple Christopher Makos and later, working together with Interview Magazine cover artist Richard Bernstein and the Henry Geldzhaler anointed Ike Udé. His work has been exhibited at museums in New York City, Los Angeles, and London. Traveling frequently for missions, Pinces shoots commercial advertisements, fashion, portrait and video function. Some recent credits include winning a Clio award in advertisements with DDB, operate for Coca-Cola, Adidas, Stüssy, Aritzia, Lululemon, Red Bull, Vogue Italia and Barney’s New York. According to Los Angeles, Pinces could be found at various truck stops involving Venice, California and Venice, Italy.
