Olga Prinku came up with the concept of flowers-on-tulle embroidery in 2016, inspired by her professional background in graphic design and hobby of wreath-making. After her creations gained popularity on Instagram, she has had artworks exhibited at galleries including the Aga Khan Centre in London. Her first book, Dried Flower Embroidery: An introduction to the art of flowers on tulle, was published by Quadrille in 2021.
Originally from the Republic of Moldova and now living in North Yorkshire, Olga enjoys exploring the boundaries of what can be achieved with the aesthetic and technique of working with real organic material as her thread.
