In Velocity, Sherbakov delves into ethereal mixtures of soap, ink, glitter, and alcohol that appear to replicate a mix of biological and cosmic phenomena. “The idea behind the film’s production was simply ’a colorful trip through uncharted space,’ according to Sherbakov. He worked with set designer Ludmila Tregub, who was in charge of generating the early solution of liquids that resulted in several spectacular sequences in the motion picture.
