Aina‘s ring is designed to handle quick phone tasks without the phone. This aina ring wearable carries a titanium band with a small OLED display above the index finger, and a joystick-style button sits beside the thumb. Aina says the ring will surface suggestions and take commands while the iPhone stays in your pocket.

The hardware

Four titanium parts enclose 140 components in this titanium wearable, according to Aina. A glass-covered OLED panel sits on top of the band, and its rounded edges ease the transition into the ring body. The panel is the same size in every ring.

If you would rather keep your hands free for listening and capturing the world around you, another wearable takes a different route. Ray-Ban Meta audio glasses with AI integration show how smart eyewear is handling similar tasks.

Sizes run from 7 through 13. Only the band changes between sizes, so a smaller finger does not get a smaller screen.

Buyers can choose Eclipse Black, Amber Gold, Mercury Silver or Slate Titanium. Early-bird preorders start at US$399, and the ring lists at US$499 once early pricing ends. Amber Gold costs US$50 more at each tier.

Seven gestures and one button on the aina ring wearable

The joystick-style button accepts seven gesture types, including directional flicks, presses and holds. Flicking up approves a suggestion, answers a call or pauses music, depending on what is active. Flicking down declines a call or stops a suggestion.

The display shows a hint for the next move. That turns the screen into more than a mirror of phone notifications, because the ring shows the one action that matters at that moment.

Suggestions that wait for approval

Aina calls its suggestions Cues. The company says its software learns when and where you do things, reads your calendar and offers the action that fits. If you usually leave for work at nine, the ring can keep a ride-booking Cue ready just before you need it.

Approval stays with you. Ignore a Cue on the aina ring wearable and nothing happens. Apoorv Shankar, Aina’s founder, put the problem this way in the company’s launch release: “Hundreds of times a day, we’ll choose between options and say yes or no.”

Voice, calls and meetings

Hold the center button to dictate a note, set a reminder or send a request to an agent. The built-in microphone captures the request, and the speaker lets you take calls from the ring. On a Mac, Aina says holding the center button types your words into any app.

During a meeting on a Mac, the aina ring wearable’s controls move to your finger. Hold up to mute or unmute, and hold down to leave. The controls stay on the ring until the meeting ends, so you do not need to find them on screen.

Ring-based meeting control still depends on the nearby Mac and the Aina app. Muting from your finger does not replace the computer.

Remote control for what is playing

Aina Remote adapts to the activity in front of you. Flick up to pause, flick left or right to skip, and hold to change the volume. Aina lists music, YouTube, Netflix and TV among the uses.

Requirements, battery and water resistance

The aina ring wearable needs an iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Mac features require macOS 15 or later. Android and Windows are not supported at launch.

Aina claims up to 18 hours of battery life per charge. A charging dock is included for overnight charging.

Aina’s Cues rely on software working quietly in the background, so the hardware that runs such agents is worth a look. Lapis One, a $499 Linux agent device offers a useful comparison for anyone curious about dedicated AI hardware.

The IP65 rating means dust tight and protected against water jets from any direction. Aina’s product page says rain, sweat and a spilled drink are fine. The company still advises removing the ring before swimming or showering.

Company and timeline

Apoorv Shankar is Aina’s founder. It began as a Human-Computer Interaction lab, a research group that tests how people physically interact with computers. The company spent 15 months operating in stealth.

The ring has been tested with a small group of pilot users, according to Aina’s website. The company is based in San Francisco.

Preorders open on November 5, 2026, and shipping is planned to begin in January 2027. Whether the ring’s suggestions prove useful in daily life is not yet established. Aina’s launch materials show demonstrations, not long-term results. The ring will need to save more time than the phone trip it replaces, every day, before a finger-mounted screen earns its place.
