Condé Nast Traveler is an American magazine published by Condé Nast. The magazine was founded in 1987, with Harold Evans serving as its first editor-in-chief. Condé Nast’s previous Signature magazine was used as the source of many of the magazine’s initial subscribers. In 1992, the subscribers of European Travel & Life, owned by K-III Magazines, were purchased by Condé Nast for Condé Nast Traveler.
