Android tablets have traditionally clung to the 16:9 screen ratio, ideal for video but limiting for productivity. Acer is rewriting this narrative at Computex 2026 with the launch of the Iconia Duo series, featuring a 3:2 aspect ratio championed by many productivity-focused devices. The new lineup includes three Android 16 tablets with varied pricing, pushing users toward more versatile tablet use. Complementary to the tablets, Acer introduces the AR Vision GR0 and GI0 smart glasses, which elevate mobile experiences beyond the screen.

Acer Iconia Duo Tablets

The flagship Iconia Duo S14 reveals a 14.2-inch 2.8K OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and full DCI-P3 color range. Processing power comes from a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC, and ports include DisplayPort in and out for connectivity options. Engineered for mobility, it boasts a slim profile of 6.2 mm and a weight of 0.73 kg.

The slimmer 12.2-inch Iconia Duo S12 offers a similar 2.8K OLED experience with added nano-texture glass to reduce glare and fingerprints, all encased in a sleek aluminum body. Meanwhile, the Iconia Duo D12 caters to those favoring affordability, offering a 2400×1600 resolution within the same 3:2 format and a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s priced from $399 for non-OLED models.

All models allow customization through an optional Active Stylus, magnetic kickstand, and detachable keyboard, adapting them into creative or productive tools. Each includes a microSD slot supporting up to 1 TB for ample storage, and the tablets deliver up to ten hours of battery life.

Pioneering Smart Glasses

The AR Vision GR0 glasses remove the viewing experience from the tablet screen altogether. These wired glasses project dual micro OLED FHD screens that replicate a 172-inch screen viewed from six meters away, featuring a 50,000:1 contrast ratio. Their lightweight frame at 69 g supports use across Android, iOS, and Windows devices. A detachable light shield and myopia lens options cater to personal needs.

In contrast, the GI0 smart glasses prioritize AI functionality over screen display. Weighing only 46 g, they incorporate a 12 MP camera and Google Gemini to facilitate real-time translations, AI-driven captions, and voice commands through three integrated microphones. Connectivity is managed wirelessly via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with the Acer AspireSync app.

Smart glasses roll out with the GR0 priced at $499.99 and the GI0 at $299.99, both bound for EMEA in Q4 2026 and Australia in Q3. This extensive product launch effectively spans a spectrum of mobile productivity solutions, from accessible Android tablets to high-tech, wearable AI companions.
