The Skyline Drive windows are part of Carminati’s Skyline Minimal Frames collection, known for their ultra-slim wooden mullions and large glass panes. Measuring just 37 millimeters on all sides, these innovative fixtures incorporate a patented construction technique where glass is bonded to the timber sashes, enhancing frame strength.
Effortless Operation and Smart Integration
The motorized system can be controlled via a wall button, remote, or integrated smart home system. Activating the panels causes them to lift and slide silently into a concealed wall pocket, leaving unobstructed views to the garden and pool at Villa Ramatuelle near Saint-Tropez.
“Against the stone, only wood made sense – but the house is modern, so bulky frames were out of the question,” explains Neil. “Carminati allowed for a minimal and technical solution.”

Design and Construction
This six-panel glass wall wraps around the living area, supported by Carminati’s patented recessed floor track. The motor, hidden above the frame, moves the panels smoothly, each capable of holding up to 1,000 kilograms. This design facilitates seamless indoor-outdoor living, making it a perfect choice for luxury homes.
Customizable Options
Villa Ramatuelle’s panels are made in laminated oak, complementing the stone exterior and terracotta roof. Other wood options include spruce, larch, and Sapelli mahogany, with additional timber–metal variations available for these exclusive windows.
Integration with Villa’s Architecture
