A stunning duo of skyscrapers connected by three innovative bridge elements forms the core of the upcoming World Trade Center Yerevan, designed by the renowned British firm Foster + Partners. Slated for development in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, this ambitious project promises to redefine the skyline.
Skyscraper Complex: Blending Functionality with Design
One skyscraper will be dedicated to office spaces, while its counterpart will host apartments and a hotel, signifying a blend of business and leisure. The connecting bridges, enclosed and landscaped, will offer shared amenities, enhancing connectivity and utility for both towers.

Characterized by sleek, glazed facades, these towers will stand on a sturdy concrete framework complemented by steel bracing. Their design facilitates open, adaptable interiors, while their strategic positioning affords breathtaking views of Yerevan’s landmarks such as the National Assembly, the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and Mount Ararat.
At the base, a collection of low-rise buildings will offer hospitality, entertainment, and retail options, all surrounding a vibrant public square. This design respects and reflects the area’s historical and cultural landscape.

Niall Dempsey, a senior partner at Foster + Partners, emphasized the importance of heritage in the design, noting, “Our development dialogues seamlessly with Yerevan’s cultural past while elevating urban life by freeing up significant space for public use.”
The nearby park’s central green axis will extend to merge with the skyscrapers, connecting city life with the complex’s podium. This creative integration draws from the masterplanning vision of Armenian architect Alexander Tamanian, who dreamed of transforming Yerevan into a garden city in 1924.

Juan Frigerio, another partner at Foster + Partners, added, “Our scheme champions Yerevan’s outdoor lifestyle by harmonizing new and historic urban elements, especially around the St John the Baptist Church.” This connection strives for a balance between modernity and tradition.
