Daniel Reid, known as Papa.png, operates out of Montreal as a senior concept artist, digital painter, and film director. Montreal Digital Artist: Reid’s Approach

Reid’s process emphasizes “dream logic,” prioritizing subconscious storytelling and emotional consistency over literal realism. The creative professional leverages digital tools not just for precision but to explore image creation through randomness, transformation, and revision. This digital art approach results in cinematic yet unconventional visual experiences, leaving viewers with vivid impressions and open-ended narratives.

His scenes often resemble film stills, featuring unusual environments and atmospheric lighting, with characters and settings that hint at larger, unexplained worlds. By engaging viewers’ emotions first, he encourages individual story interpretation, allowing the narrative to unfold naturally.
