David Černý – one of the leading Czech contemporary artists. Cerny was born in Prague. He gained notoriety in 1991 by painting a Soviet tank pink, to serve as a war memorial in central Prague. In 1996 he graduated from the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design. In his works, David combines humor, provocation and satire.
