Desmond Ignaz
US-based artist Greg Klassen is an experienced furniture maker who has created a collection of hand-crafted tables with rivers “flowing” through them. After deciding the size of each table, the artist carves the outline of a gorge and fits light-blue glass on the top to create the illusion of a flowing river. His river collection features various designs, such as a coffee table, dining table, conference table and console. Klassen was inspired by the “exciting edges and vivid grains found in the trees sustainably taken from the banks of the Nooksack river that twists below his studio”.
