If you spend your time browsing the never-ending Instagram feed, you might’ve already discovered a freelance illustrator named Isabelle Staub, who shook the platform with her new drawings of classic Disney Princesses. What you might not appreciate, though, is that this series also encouraged the artist to get out of a severe creative block.
“I’ve always loved Disney since I was a child, so I chose to paint the princesses in my art style for fun,” Isabelle told DesignTaxi. And she got into it, spending from 8 to 12 hours recreate each picture. Almost the whole process is done in the Corel Painter, with only a few last bits done with Photoshop.
“I’m ready to start a new series of illustrations! Someone requested villains, which I think would be cool. But I might give the entire Disney theme a rest for a while.”
Right now she’s in the early stages of painting her own children’s book, so keep renewing her Instagram for more awesome works.
