Photographer Mitch Dobrowner travels around U.S. and sets up his camera in front of storms that stand above rural fields in Oklahoma, Kansas, and North Dakota. Excited by photographers like Minor White and Ansel Adams, he takes amazing landscapes that recall us of nature’s rough power by juxtaposing the infinite flat plains with moving weather formations. Lightning strikes and hurricanes feature massively in Dobrowner’s black and white images that at times look like moments right out of the first few minutes of the Wizard of Oz.
