Las Vegas-based professional photographer Tim Navis takes photos in black and white, colors, digital, or film cameras. Here’s a selection of his photos from his collection “Digital” and “Film”: cliches where nature talks via the patterns it attracts with the alleviations and by the power of its desertic landscapes.
Navis began as a painter however made a decision to switch over to photography after shooting photos of a pal and recognizing he might create the photos in his head much better with a camera than he could with a paintbrush. He enjoys shooting landscapes because it provides him an opportunity and a reason to take a trip, but he also enjoys shooting girls and stated:
“I also love editing the skin. I’m not sure why, but I love sexy skin.” I found that funny because most people I know dread working on the skin. He currently lives in LA but is constantly traveling, and earlier this year, he went on a trip with some other creatives to Iceland. Tim stated, “Shoot because you love it and learn something new from every shoot. Oh, and make a lot of mistakes.”
Those are some excellent words to grow from, in my opinion.
