New York-based photographer Alix Martinez found about photography at ten years old, when she picked up her first camera. Finally majoring in photography and graphic design, Alix moved to New York City to follow her dream.
For years, Alix Martinez has shot photos of children not on dry land but submerged under water. Most of these photographs could even be classified as fine art.
Martinez told My Modern Met:
“I have always loved photographs that display ripples and reflections.” “There’s something magical and beautiful when water is shot. Since I am a children’s photographer, I am always trying to come up with ideas to photograph them in an unusual way.”
