Archie Hayes 
Guy Laramée erects topographic specimen out of collections of vintage publications. His carved sculptures imitate the hills of knowledge once collected in books rather than compiled via digital means. Within this new series from 2017-2018 that the Montreal-based artist comprises traditional methods of publication organization as integral portions of the sculptures– such as box set containers, easy wood racks, and metal bookends reminiscent of public libraries.
