A Unique Fusion of Technology and Fashion
Artist Cory Infinite has taken customization to the next level with a pair of Adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 sneakers, transforming them into a digital art piece for singer Teezo Touchdown. This one-of-a-kind creation, crafted in collaboration with adidas Originals, was meticulously assembled by hand in Kansas City, aiming to merge footwear, music, and digital culture in an unprecedented manner.

Repurposing Connectivity into Art
The sneakers are almost entirely enveloped in recycled Ethernet cables, with approximately 170 pieces uniquely applied to each shoe. Transparent RJ45 connectors coat the entire surface, introducing a pixel-like texture that challenges the original design’s smooth lines. The blue cables cleverly recreate adidas’ iconic three-stripe motif, integrating technology seamlessly into the aesthetic.
Decorative keyboard keys weave through the laces, spelling out the names Cory Infinite and Teezo Touchdown, further personalizing this disruptive design. This detail reinforces the blend of computer hardware aesthetics with personal touch, making each pair a statement of individualized art.

A Celebration of Global Connection
Cory Infinite describes the sneakers as a tribute to the global connections forged by football. By employing Ethernet cables, typically hidden in digital infrastructures, the design symbolizes the intertwining of sports, music, and digital realms. The sneakers occupy a space between functional sportswear and wearable sculpture, serving as a testament to innovation in design.
