Exploring Casa Magma: A Luxurious Retreat at Casacor São Paulo 2026
In São Paulo’s lush Parque da Água Branca, Suite Arquitetos unveils Casa Magma, a 215-square-metre masterpiece for Casacor São Paulo 2026. This installation showcases the versatility of Portinari ceramic tiles amidst an ambiance filled with Brazilian artistry and furniture.

The heart of Casa Magma is a central living room, accessed through an inviting entryway with fluted tile-clad walls that guide you into the space. The colors—deep red, walnut, burgundy, and terracotta—embrace visitors in a warm, cocoon-like environment.

According to Suite Arquitetos, the space is designed to evoke a sense of welcoming, tapping into the “silent power that exists in matter, light, and textures.” The designers aim for you to feel the environment before cognitively recognizing it.

A Sunken Living Experience
The sunken living area is a centerpiece, featuring an exposed column reminiscent of a fireplace, complete with a cylindrical base filled with logs. Soft, rust-toned carpets underpin arc-shaped, velvet-upholstered sofas, creating dual seating areas around bespoke furniture.

An elegant kitchen and bar, topped with a striking light fixture made of natural crystals and tubes by Suite Arquitetos, sits at the space’s apex. It’s complemented by mid-century chairs crafted by Joaquim Terneiro.
Art and Texture in Harmony
The suite houses intriguing figurative art like a Diego Rivera drawing and an Odoardo Tabacchi sculpture. Abstract works, including a metallic stool by Rodrigo Zampol and a relief panel by Zanini de Zanine, further elevate the experience.

In the minimalist bathroom, textured Portinari tiles, accented with recessed lighting and matte brown fixtures, expand the tactile appeal, highlighting distinct customization options.
For another expression of art through innovative design, Darius Hulea’s 3D sculptures might intrigue you with industrial metal wire creations.

Historical Context and Artistic Collaboration
Throughout past Casacor São Paulo exhibitions, diverse creative expressions have emerged, such as Studio Melissa Romano’s fiberboard Casa Alma in 2021 and Studio Arthur Casas’ 2018 prefabricated home. Suite Arquitetos has previously garnered attention with installations at eateries featuring quirky design elements.
