These sculptures by Long-Bin Chen look like they've been carved from wood or stone. But if you look a little closer, you'll notice something odd. The sculptures aren't made from an organic substance in any respect. Instead, they're carved out of paper from old books and catalogs. Chen's work discusses waste and recycling. Inanimate objects are carved into sculptures of ethnic icons or swirling towers, providing them a second chance.
