Origami-Like Paper Forms Inspired By Rich Designs From India

Industrial designer and artist Gunjan Aylawadi forms sculptural weavings composed of countless tightly rolled strips of paper. The functions’ radial patterns are educated by her upbringing in India, where she was constantly surrounded by the repetitive geometric patterns found in the nation’s art and architectural information. These recalled routines are abstracted within her paper-based works, which are equally directed by visual and aesthetic memories. Aylawadi currently works and lives in Sydney, Australia. You may find more of her woven string, including the exhibited Formed in Fantasy, on her website, Facebook, and Instagram.
