Wilson is a master of the painting craft. He creates between 8-10 functions every year, ranging in size from 9 x 10 inches to 70 x 50 inches. He paints portraits, allegorical characters, trompe l’oeil, and life layered with story. His paintings are precise and tight. For Wilson, it’s crucial to observe, then leave all of his subjects in the greatest detail. His job is often fantastic and whimsical, a unique union of disciplined implementation along with also a boundless, blossoming imagination. Each of his functions comprises contemporary references, addressing a multitude of ideas embedded into his meticulously crafted compositions.
