Yumi Okita’s Big Hand Crafted Textile Moths and Cicadas

by Seth Sebastian 2017-08-08, 1:00 PMupdated 2018-01-11, 10:44 PM

These big moths and insects by Yumi Okita are made with cloth, embroidery thread, imitation fur, fur, and feathers. The Raleigh-based artist handicrafts each piece, producing faithful interpretations of real insects like the Oleander Hawk Moth or the Peacock Butterfly. Check out more of her creations on Etsy.
